Dr. Mark Perlman is a proud supporter and lover of live theatre and the performing arts. In fact, Mark accompanied his son, Dylan Perlman, across the United States while he was on the National Broadway Tour of the play “On Golden Pond.”
Together with his son, Mark is overjoyed to bring live theatrical productions to Babylon Village at The Argyle Theatre.
Beyond The Argyle Theatre
Mark Perlman is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and a certified School Psychologist.
Before purchasing the Babylon Village movie theatre and converting it into the live theatre venue, The Argyle Theatre, Mark worked in the Valley Stream High School District for three decades. He’s run a private practice for 27 years and is the Founder, Director, and Senior Clinician of Wantagh-Seaford Counseling Services P.C. Mark also served as the Program Director of Horizon Day Camp at New York Institute of Technology for 26 years.
Mark has maintained a lifetime of involvement and love of sports, and has been an active participant and/or coach in baseball, softball, basketball, tennis and soccer. He has been involved in numerous live musical theatre productions at Valley Stream South High School and is also a self-admitted karaoke junky.
Personal Life
Mark lives in Seaford, New York with his wife Kathy, who works as a special education teacher at Plainview-Old Bethpage High School. His daughter Rachel is an account executive with JRG Apparel, and her husband Sean will oversee security at The Argyle Theatre. Mark’s son Jonathan resides in New York City, where he works as a professional trainer.
Mark is thrilled that after more than three years of passion and perseverance, The Argyle Theatre has finally come to fruition as a beautiful performing arts venue in the heart of Babylon Village.
